F.E.A.R. 2 joins the ever growing list of titles that was refused classification in Australia. Taking a quick look at the game's classification listing, you should note the "RC" status.
This means that the title was "refused classification". A similar fate recently fell upon Silent Hill for that region. However, a title such as Gears of War 2 was not denied classification. While games like GoW2 feature a ton of violence and gore, the fact that not all of it takes place against humans may be the key difference here.
Perhaps it's time for Australia to re-examine their stance on not including an 18+ rating for video games.
