An interesting little feature that's hidden from most in the Left 4 Dead demo, is the fact that you can actually spawn and play as any of the Boss Infected!
Please note that this does require the server, or local server to have sv_cheats set to 1. From there, the rest is relatively easy. Once the game has loaded up, open up your game console and type, "ent_fire !self setteam 3". This will set you as joining the Infected side.
From there, enter in "ghost" and you should respawn as a Boss Infected! Otherwise, you can force a Boss to spawn using the following commands.
Once you're on the Infected side, enter in one last console command to get the game started proper, "director_force_versus_start 1". This command will let all of the Survivors be controlled by the AI and they will then start to make their way through the level while you hunt them down.
