I still need to try CoD4, Crysis, and what was that other one? Farcry? No. You do not need to try Farcry or Crysis or anything else that company makes.

Far Cry and Crysis were both more visually interesting than they were necessarily "fun." Honestly I don't have the right to say that about Crysis, as I only played the demo and then decided that 30fps with the details turned way down just wasn't my cup of tea. With a decent system, though, I'm sure it could be fun, though the general consensus is that Crysis starts out strong and ends fairly flat.
Bioshock and F.E.A.R. were the last single-player shooters I really enjoyed outside of the Valve lineup. Prey, Quake 4 and Doom 3 were all somewhat entertaining in their various ways (and admittedly, Doom 3 was intensely frightening the first time I played it late at night, alone in the dark), though each of them got old before reaching the conclusion of the game. Probably a few other FPS titles have come and gone without me noticing them, so I'll leave commenting on those to others.
Back on topic, I'm curious to see if this makes it to the consoles... nothing in the FAQ suggested it, but with the fairly successful Baldur's Gate games on the XBOX, I think one can safely assume there's a decent market out there if Blizzard wants to go that direction as well (and face the complications/challenges that come with it). [edit] There are rumors on other websites about possible 360 release, but we'll see if that pans out.

i dont think any word can describe blizzard's product. its just magical
I guess repetition is contagious I guess.
Wasn't into the RPG scene when the Diablo games came out, as the FPS genre was (and largely still is) my primary love. I'm not sure if a new Diablo game would appeal to me as much as something like Oblivion, but it's been an incredibly successful franchise thus far, and Blizzard generally doesn't release products that are anything less than stellar.
i can already predict my next 2-5 years playing these games heavily. of course doesn't mean im gonna leave out any other possible great games. but only valve game im looking at is LD and Epi 3. after that.. battle.net is my 3rd home :)

i dont think they would release a console version, but seeing as how they are making all these changes to the game, such as not using potions as often having health drop, programmable keys, much better fighting system, I would be surprised at all. Definitely could make some quick money off of it.
BTW, enchantments and bonuses on weapon that steal health are finally going to be worth it. Picking up health and stealing hp FTW.
