anyone remember the early 'ingame' trailers? looks like they seriously cut down the graphics
That E3 2005 trailer went through some other planet, I'm guessing the Earth. The sequel goes through the Helghast planet (guys with the glowing eyes). I would say that the game environment looks different in the E3 2007 trailer compared to the E3 2005 trailer. Sorry, I've played the first game, I'm just going off my knowledge from the game.
seriously. someone put a dash of bright green/pink or something in it. the graphics all camouflage well together probably making me squint my eyes to see. haha.
The first one wasn't anything special, and the only reason this one is hyped is because of a cgi trailer from a few years ago. Also, does anyone doubt the difficulty developers are having with the PS3 yet? How long does a game take to make it on the PS3? Look at Gran Turismo and God of War. Those games must have been in the making when the console was introduced but have yet to make an appearance on the PS3.
Long development times happen with any console or platform.
Should I remind everyone of Duke Nukem Forever, a primarily PC title?
Maybe Alan Wake for the 360 and PC, which has been in the works for years now as well.
Granted, I have heard that the PS3 is much harder to program for (see Valve for reasons why), mainly because of how many cores the Cell has, the lower memory budget, and the fact that unlike the 360, you can't just take code written for a PC and slam it on to a console. The 360 and PC are real buddy/buddy like that.
