Call of Duty 5 Media Leak; Trailer to Debut on Xbox Live

NeoGAF again makes good with the early leaks for an upcoming title. This time, they have a number of early images for Call of Duty 5, providing the first real good look at the new shooter. You can see those images below.

Also of note today is the announcement that the first Call of Duty: World at War trailer will debut on Xbox Live this weekend! The trailer will "only be on Live Marketplace June 21-June 22." If it sounds as though they'll be taking the trailer down after Sunday, you might be correct in that assumption.

That looks awful. Hopefully the game in motion will look better.

Keep in mind that I think most of these are scans from magazines. At least, that's what I believe.

If it's built on the same engine as CoD4, as it is said to be, I doubt the game is going to look horrible.

          Has WWII been done before?

I always have mixed feelings on that. Sure, part of me would like something more fresh, but it's not like we can just pick a conflict out of a hat and expect "Rwanda Massacre: The Tutsis Must Die" to be a successful game. WWII is unique in its global scale combined with somewhat more modern fighting techniques and advanced hardware.

Really though, would you rather they went the Battlefield 2142 direction with things and have a big laser and mech fest?

            no lol

I wouldn't mind another modern warfare game, as long as they did a good job like cod 4. though there is one thing I don't understand, didn't COD4 do better than all of the other cod's? so why wouldn't they keep this modern warfare theme, and milk it for what its worth?

I wonder why the the soldier in the third to the last screenshot is aiming the flamethrower like a rifle. Shouldn't he be holding it on his side?
