Duke Nukem Forever Actually Exists - Footage

Duke Nukem Forever actually exists! I know, I'm shocked too. Shacknews has the segment from the Jace Hall Show in which actual gameplay can be seen.

For those worried about the footage being nothing but dark corridors. Here's what 3D Realms' George B. had to say.
It's not. This was a snippet from one level inside hoover dam, for a few mins. there are large outdoor environments, too, and tons of stuff not seen here. I wasn't even sure they were going to show game footage as the original deal was to just film jason playing the game, and a reaction. They cut in a few scenes here and there. Much much more to see and come.
So far, the consensus is, "It looks a lot like Prey." My thoughts? "Hey, the shrink ray is back!"

Wow. Very underwhelming, I was expecting a lot more. Perhaps a direct feed of some gameplay footage will be impressive.

This game has had an unintentional hype for over 10 years. There's no way this game can exceed expectations.

I'm basically just expecting the same basic formula as Duke 3D was... one-liners, big guns and even bigger-bosomed women. Only in true 3D this time instead of the multi-map hacked 3D-esque effect that the original used. :P

Really, though, I don't expect to see a whole lot new added to the formula... after making people wait this long, my guess is that they'll try for a lot of elements that hail back strongly to the game's origins. Gaming has evolved a lot since then, though, so we'll see how this fits in today's scene. Or next year's scene. Or a few years from then...

FPS games that are simply kill monsters and look for keycards just don't appeal to me at all anymore. I need something more.
