Crysis Warhead Revealed, No Crysis 1.3 Patch

The official Crysis website has been updated with a teaser image for Crysis Warhead, the next installment in the Crysis series. At present, very little is known about Warhead. The platforms for release, the release date, or even if it's a full blown game or just an expansion.

In the first Crysis Monthly Update, the developers brought a double dose of bad news to the community. First, they revealed that work has halted on the Linux dedicated server for Crysis.

They stated that they were "definitely not happy with the current quality and stability of the server and are far away from having a stable version which could be sent out to the community for alpha/beta testing." Sorry Linux server ops, maybe Warhead will have a working build.

Secondly, the team announced that there would be no patch 1.3 released for Crysis. The reason for the lack of a new patch? They're hard at work with Crysis Warhead. No patch, but you get a new game/expansion. What do you make of that trade-off?

Now the real question would be are the graphics going to be even more insane than Far Cry 2 . I think we might have to start running Double Computers to run these games haha. Give me an excuse to upgrade my machine again.

i hope they work something around the game engine in making the game run smoother for those who does not have $600-$1k video card/cards. also hope that the game will be worked on heavily after its releases to fix bugs. i personally think crytek takes too long.

i run crysis on vista just fine in very high... my entire computer didnt even cost $1k

and i don't really care for another patch or any of that bs... the multiplayer wasn't really a selling point for me. same with far cry when it came out.
