Rumor Smash - New Duke Nukem Forever Trailer This Week

This is something we did for Jason months ago and it's not quite going to be what you expect. We didn't want him unveiling the game at that point so the piece was done as a favor for Jason, who we've known for 15 years.

You know what? We're tired of waiting. Just show us some game footage already! This is now way beyond the realm of absurdity.



Original: The rumor mill is in full swing on this one as Joe Siegler of 3D Realms, made a forum posting that hints at a surprise trailer for Duke Nukem Forever being unveiled on June 4th.

Word on the street has it that long-time game industry vet, Jason Hall, has a new episodic show debuting on Xbox Live and Crackle.com on June 4th, and the first episode reveals his recent undercover visit to 3D Realms. There's a surprise in this story, but you'll have to watch the show to see it.

A surprise? He continues on to say...

This show may have landed the greatest scoop of all time in the history of gaming… We shall see!

The Jace Hall Show will debut on June 4th. Tune in to Xbox Live or Crackle.com to see the potential unveiling of actual Duke Nukem Forever footage!



Either that or Joe Siegler just set everyone up for the biggest let down in the history of gaming. John Romero's Daikatana notwithstanding.

Yeah, who know if/when anything will come from this. DNF is from the lands of lore at this point -- delaying a game 12+ years? That's legendary stuff.



Part of me doesn't want to believe that DNF might ever come out, because it's like going through the grieving process and burying something, only to have the corpse spring back out at you. But on the flip-side, from a developer's standpoint... why wouldn't you jump on the instant hype and press you'd get from finally making this game?
