Killzone 2 Delayed to Avoid Competition

The reason that Killzone 2 has been delayed until February of 2009 isn't because it won't be ready until then, it's because Sony doesn't want to over saturate their consumers.



The Autumn season brings about a number of titles that include SOCOM, LittleBigPlanet, the new MotorStorm title, and Resistance 2 to name a few. Ron Eagle, a voice of SCEA, stated that the title was "moved to Feb 2009 to make sure we didn't have three shooters in the marketplace competing for retail dollars during the same holiday season."



He also promised that there would be more Killzone 2 information coming in the following months. Keep in mind that the E3 Media & Business Summit is coming July 11th. There is a very good possibility of seeing new media at the event.

Hmm... I really don't mind if they're delaying the game to polish the game/make it any better. From the Judges' Day, the game looks pretty awesome (I think it has the best visuals whenever you get shot- just check out some of the videos out there, trust me: blood spatter on your screen, and a really crazy gray tone added to the screen, it's difficult to exactly explain it.)
