First Metal Gear Solid 4 Review is in...

The third-person/first-person hybrid nature of Metal Gear Solid 4 more than warrants a mention at this site, never mind how it is one of the most anticipated titles of 2008. The UK Official PlayStation Magazine had first dibs on reviewing MGS4 (the entire thread contains magazine scans of the review), and if you ignored our image on the right, you should still be able to guess as to what score they awarded the title.



That's right, it picked up a 10/10 from the magazine. Take that exclusive review score however you wish, but I personally doubt it will be the only perfect score awarded to the title. Now, I just need to get my hands on a PS3 and I'll be set. Donations are welcome!



Metal Gear Solid 4 will be released world-wide on June 12, 2008 for the PlayStation 3 system.

I'll admit, I do not even doubt Kojima's ability to create a 10/10 game.



But I would still like to see a very thorough (and beaten the game) review from a 3rd party. Why though? Only because Kojima said in his words, that MGS4 disappointed him. in regards that dispite what the PS3 promised (not even the sky is the limit) it did not deliver and in turn he had to "cut back" on his "vision".



Now of course a reviewer would probably get his mind blown, but I'd like a 3rd party to check out the graphics and if the game actually truly takes up 50gigs on a DL BLU-RAY or just 25gigs. And also to see if the game takes the PS3 "to the limit". Because if it does, we won't be seeing anything setting the bar higher than MGS4.



But then again MGS2 and MGS3 were both PS2, but MGS3 was substantially better (probably the epitome of what PS2 can do). But then again...this is really supposedly Kojima's last MGS4 and maybe the last MGS game ever. And if they ever make another, he said he won't be at the reigns. But then again, he has said this for the past 2 games. -_-....

If the release lives up to the reviewer's opinion, maybe Sony will finally have a title that sells PS3 systems for its own sake. Kinda hard to justify if you already dropped a bundle of money on an 360 though.
