Gears of War 2 Debut Trailer

While technically this isn't a FPS, it is one of the more highly anticipated titles coming out for the Xbox 360. The debut trailer for Gears of War 2 hit last night around 2AM EST.



I've included the SD streaming version from Gametrailers after the jump, but there is a link to the HD version. You can also download the HD version via the Xbox Live Marketplace. Wow Zips, your news updates have really branched out from what they used to be.



First it was Counter-Strike stuff only, and only Counter-Strike.

Second it was FPS shooters, but only Valve-related shooters.

Third it was all of Valve games.

Fourth it was all of the shooters in the gaming community.

And now apparently with this, it is gaming in general.



Nothing negative, but you've turned CSnation into a gaming news site. I would actually consider dropping its CS-only-look and actual converting this to a gaming online news site.

This has long been discussed but from a marketing standpoint, the CS-Nation name holds up. Plus we don't really have the means/resources to change.



The focus is mainly on FPS right now, with a few "hot titles" thrown in for good measure. Why? Because they tend to generate a bit of discussion around these parts. But if CS news ever surfaces, we'll be sure to cover it.

Exactly, I like it. It's a kind of "If you like Counter Strike, you'll probably like these games too" website. I regularly check the news, more often than not there'll be something that interests me.

I actually really like the news that CS-Nation is reporting...it is almost exactly the all games that I would be interested in, but I do agree a name change would be best..but that has been discussed before.

I would have to agree with most everybody else, i am loving all the extra news these days. If this site had stayed only CS news, it would have been FAR less active, i am happy to see it changing into a more "FPS gaming as a whole" site, I don't need to go anywhere else for my news, I just come here.



I have to agree too, changing this sites name from CSnation would be wrong. I've been coming here for all my news for a good 5+ years, just cause the news has branched out, dosent mean the site needs a new name.

I have to agree with ZIP's choice on putting in the hottest FPS smash tittles and other tidbit news, why? Because we all know the CS scene is sorta dead - I mean what if Zip didn't even report on TF2 stuff? This would be one sloooow site.



Anyways, back to discussing the trailer/video. Holy crap Gears of War 2 looks badass. Not only that, it's 360/PC exclusive...I am still sitting on the fence between PS3/360. The only thing that is even holding me back is Metal Gear Solid 4. But is paying 499-599$USD worth it? (That 80gig MGS4 bundle). As the console wars start to mature more, it seems the XBOX360 is the obvious winner. Yeah sure the Wii is cool but it's just a trend, I do not know anyone who actually plays their Wii by themselves/and or unless its the first 2 weeks of a Nintendo IP title.

Even then..Nintendo IP titles come out ..how often?

Mario Kart, Zelda, Smash, Super Mario, Metroid. Ok those are all out.

Now what? (Smash wasn't even that good..) Play [Insert random proprietary franchise name] [Insert random party synonym] [Insert sequel #]



So it's Raving Raymon's Party Bunnies 4 remix turbo or

Super Mario Party 13? Or

Wii Sports 2. Yeah this is Gears of WAR 2 but it's not simply a rehash of mindless party gimmick games with 2 new mini games.
