i'd love to get this game and display it under HD imaging, but i can't play fps with controller for squats so im probably stuck with it on pc.
You do realize that most PC resolutions are higher than what most console games are rendered at, right?. Most console games are rendered at 1280x720 (720p), while most people AT LEAST have a 1280x1024 monitor on their computer.
1) The bulk majority of gamers (read: average, not hardcore) have sub-par PCs that barely get playable framerates with details turned down at 1024x768.
2) Consoles have set specs, so the game will be tweaked until it's consistently playable in 720p.
3) HDTVs are generally far bigger than your monitor, which helps bring that extra detail out.
Anyway, like always, it's possible to get a better visual experience on a PC, but most people will find consoles easier and more affordable to get good results from.
Looks like it could be an interesting game... kind of interesting to see this at the same time as the criticism about the lack of freedom in parts of Crysis. We'll see what comes of it.
