    Valve and the Wii

Valve has commented before that they would like to make a game for the Wii, but didn't specify what kind. In a recent interview with CVG, Doug Lombardi commented that Valve would love to make a game for the Wii - a child's game, to be specific.
"There's a lot of people at Valve who are parents and would love to make a game for kids," Valve's Doug Lombardi told us recently.

"We all play the Wii a lot and we think that the proper way for Valve to approach the Wii would be to make something cool designed specifically for it." he added, when quizzed on the possibility of Valve venturing away from its usual FPS scene.
He goes on to say that this certainly isn't an official announcement, just a bunch of internal desire. Lombardi also says that Gabe Newell is a huge fan of MMORPGs, and has always wanted to make one. I, for one, would be interested to see if any of this actually happens. What do you think - do you think Valve could succeed if they strayed away from the FPS scene?

How about they make "half life: full life consequences"?

HOW about they concentrate on what they do best and try and release a game without taking 4000 years...

I can see Valve getting in trouble if they decide to go "I want to make an MMORPG, a kid's game, finish Left for dead (SOMEDAY) support TF2 etc..."

I'd rather see them fixing some of the CSS and even CS1.6 bugs... but fat chance

they have a hard enough time keeping the games bug-free as it is at the moment, they focus more on Steam than the reason why people have Steam to begin with (the Valve games it comes with).

Although, they have money beyond the moon...so IF they ever decided to do some kind of freakish MMO, I'd imagine it getting done much quicker than a typical one.
