I know that the first thing you'll want to know is, "When is the update going to be released?" Neowin happily spills the beans on this, and states that the update for TF2 will come Tuesday, April 29th. As with all things on release dates, this isn't "officially" announced, but this is the most concrete date we've seen yet. It is subject to change. The console version of the Orange Box does not currently have a release date for this update.

Goldrush is a map specifically focused on pacing, so the player feels like they are part of an overall team focus instead of being a lone wolf. Each member of the team naturally has to focus on both the overall goal of either advancing or stopping the payload, but also on the local threats, like that heavy backed up by a medic. Goldrush has been designed taking all nine classes into account, which means there is truly a place for everyone and their favorite class to be useful.Neowin will have further details on the achievements in an upcoming article.
