No, I'm not pulling your leg - there really is a card game coming out based on Call of Duty 4. After the success of the World of Warcraft CCG, it's not too surprising (or is it?) to see one coming out for CoD4.
Players take on the role of a group of soldiers from one of eight World War II-era nations — sorry Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare fans. Play occurs on one of a number of 5x5 "maps" with each player commanding three soldiers simultaneously. The soldiers have different classes, such as sniper and engineer, and these classes of course determine which sorts of cards can be played on them as well as a color assignment. Actions occur by flipping cards frantically and assigning commands (dive for cover, shoot other guy within two spaces, set a mine, etc.) with occasional pauses for respawning and score tallying.Sounds oh-so-exciting, doesn't it? Maybe it'll do just as well as the Doom board game!
