Bioshock 2 Details Start to Emerge

One of the most critically acclaimed new titles of 2007 is already gearing up to have a sequel released. The first details for Bioshock 2 are starting to leak out thanks to a job listing at Gamasutra.



Some points to note about the job listings:

• The job listings primarily list PS3, Xbox 360, and the Wii as the platforms of choice. Keep in mind that only the 360 and the PC saw the first game.
  
  
• It sounds as though the player will return to the world of Rapture in Bioshock 2. The "Character Rigger" job description does mention that you will be "creating the thousands of animations required to make the world of Rapture compelling and richly layered."
  
  
• The release for Bioshock 2 won't be until late 2009.
  
  
• It's speculated that due to what happened in Bioshock and the job descriptions, that Bioshock 2 will server as a prequel to the series.

For those actually interested and able to fill these positions, why not give it a go.

I only just got around to playing Bioshock a couple of days ago. Sat down in the early afternoon, finished in the evening, whole game in one sitting. Deus Ex did the whole FPS/RPG mix a lot better, but I'll be damned if Bioshock wasn't the most compelling game I've played in the last three years. Can't wait for the sequel.
