Avalanche Revealed by Bungie for Halo 3

Remember how there was to be an announcement of an announcement today for the next map unveil of Halo 3's Legendary Map Pack DLC? Well, that time is now and the map is called "Avalanche."

The second map from next month’s Legendary Map pack - due April 15th for 800 marketplace points (remember, we just make the maps, we don't get to price them) - is a lovingly crafted reimagination of Halo: Combat Evolved classic Sidewinder. It wouldn’t be wholly accurate to call it a “remake,� but elements of Avalanche are certainly culled from Sidewinder - it has the same familiar U-shape, multiple ways from base-to-base, and a whole sandbox full o’ vehicles to play with. But there are many, many changes too.

Not worth it if its going to be separated from regular rotation like the heroic pack is.

I wonder when the Heroic map pack is going to be available for free download.. pretty sure it is supposed to be this spring. They never really dated it though.
