Canadian EB offers Haze for Free

EB Games has a pretty sweet deal for the PS3 shooter Haze. What's the deal? Why, getting it for free!
First, you have to pre-order the game. Then when its release rolls round you part with your dosh and take home your copy of Haze.

According to the promotional flier below (courtesy of NeoGAF) you have one week to either finish it or get bored of it. Take it back inside the first week and you'll be able to trade it in for store credit amounting to the full price you paid for the game.
It's not a bad deal if you live in Canada, except for the fact that it has to be for store credit. However, you can just pick up another game that strikes your fancy that way.

I guess they're betting on people liking it enough to keep it?

Brilliant. IF EB up there is like Gamestop down here, then it's a win-win for EB.

Either way, they are getting your money, more guaranteed revenue for EB and Gamestop! I'll pass, and go elsewhere. Pre-Ordering is starting to tick me off, and is completely pointless. If I want to buy a game, I'll go once and buy it on release day or afterwards.

Yeah.. it's generally not too hard to pick up a game on release day without pre-ordering it. I walked into walmart at 12am on Sunday morning and picked up a copy of smash brothers with no problems.

Pre-ordering basically pointless, except for the cute little things you can get with it (I like my Mario coin okay?)
