Game Developer's Magazine Top 50 Devs

Gamasutra.com's sister publication, Game Developer's Magazine, has released a study ranking the top 50 developers based on sales figures from 2007, review scores, and a survey sent out to Gamasutra community members. The top five aren't too surprising.

1. Nintendo Kyoto (Brain Age, Wii Play)

2. Infinity Ward (Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare)

3. Blizzard Entertainment (World Of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade)

4. Electronic Arts Canada (FIFA Soccer 08, NBA Street: Homecourt)

5. Valve (Portal, Team Fortress 2)

Here's the full list of the top 50. All in all, it's a pretty good list. And while I do approve of Nintendo being on the top of the pack, what an odd choice of games to represent their notable sales of the year.

Valve deserves to be atleast in the top 3, but top 5 is still good.

I would've at least put them above EA Canada. The top three are pretty solid picks, even if Blizzard's only "notable" game was a WoW expansion..
