CVG has a brand new preview of the sequel to S.T.A.L.K.E.R., S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Clear Sky. The preview sets out to see if this is the game GSC always wanted to make but never could given their time constraints.
One such feature was the spectacular nuclear storm called the 'Blowout', a thundering anomaly that drove the wildlife of the zone before it and forced Stalkers to take cover. We were being awed by it in preview sessions a couple of years before the original game was released. We asked Bolshakov about its omission. The team goes on to talk about how they've improved on their AI system, A-Life. Each go through the game will yield different enemies in different areas, promising a dynamic experience each time. Clear Sky is slated for a May 2008 release on both the Steam platform and via retail outlets.
