First with the Left 4 Dead media this week was Gametrailers and now it's IGN, Eurogamer, and Gametrailers again. IGN went hands-on as the Infected bosses and give you a nice two page spread of what it's like to dish out some death against the survivors. They also preview the Farmhouse map.
After a while we noticed one of the bedroom doors was starting to splinter. A hunter was smashing it through with his claws, and by the time we'd focused on stopping him, the door was already broken. Leaving our team behind, we walked forward into the bedroom to make sure it was clear. Our mistake. As we approached a window to look outside, a smoker perched on an abandoned car in the driveway darted out his tongue and ripped us right out of the second floor, flinging us to the ground below. A tank, which was on fire at the time, then rumbled out from a Molotov blaze on the house's veranda and smashed us across the face, killing us.The article mentions that if a player should drop in the middle of a match, they will be immediately replaced by an AI controlled teammate. IGN managed to snag a number of new screens as well.

Eurogamer: How long do you estimate each section of the game will take to play through at this point?Lombardi also reveals that he loves playing as the Boomer on the Infected side. They also have a few additional screenshots of their own.
Doug Lombardi: If you're a solid team and you're successful all the way through the mission, it should take you about an hour and a half. So, if you're blazing through it, and everybody's well oiled and whatnot, it's probably about six or seven hours of play. But, you know, the AI director that runs things is intentionally built to create a dynamic experience to how successful you guys are doing.
