    Day of Defeat Going Orange

In a recent interview with Enemy Down, the lead programmer for Day of Defeat, Matt "Mugsy" Boone, spilled the beans on an upcoming update for Day of Defeat: Source.

The major points of the interview state that the game will be ported over to the Orange Box engine, and the update might come out in March. Given the whole issue with "Valve Time" we might see the update in late Spring or early Summer ... of 2009.
It will be on the orange box engine, it will contain cone of fire tweaks, leaning eye point fix and a few other improvements.
Other additions include the possibility of new maps being added, possible crosshair additions, and achievements for DoD: Source.

    2009?

This seems like a joke to me. I doubt Valve plans updates for their games over a year ahead, as if it was a brand new game.

... I didn't think I had to cut back on the joking in the news posts, but really? It's coming in March, supposedly. I added in the 2009 due to the "Valve Time."

More maps? Yes please. I love the DoD Source gameplay dearly, but I really feel ripped off with the lack of content they've added to it. It's a shame, because a more faithful Source port of DoD would be quite a jewel.

I really think it'll be next year before this update actually happens.

I wish they would have applied the 'server tag' update to CS:S. If they applied no other update at all, that'd be appreciated.
