    Valve Considering New TF2 Class?

Apparently, a long time ago Valve was looking to creating a new class for Team Fortress 2. Obviously, this has not happened, but is it still a possiblity? It is, at least according to the latest issue of the Games for Windows magazine, and a forum post at the Steam User Forums.
GFW: A year or so ago you expressed interest in creating new classes along the lines of the Spy and Engineer. Is this pie-in-the-sky stuff or something you're still pursuing?

    Robin Walker:
    Still pursuing.
The first ever picture of Goldrush is also unveiled in the latest issue (perhaps the March or April 2008 issue).

      New class for TF2:

      The Corsair

Specialty: Great accuracy and rate of fire, low damage (offense)

Weapons: Saber (curved sword, similar to Sniper's Machete, but Piratey), the dual pistols, and the quick-load rifle (think of weapons you saw in Pirates of the Carribbean). The rifle would have a scope, but be like a sniper rifle at 0% permanently, so basically having maximum damage instantly, but that damage is pitiful. It would however be able to fire off 6 shots quickly before having to go out of scope to reload (multiple hits with the same clip may cause chance to crit towards the end of the clip). About 25 damage a shot (150 if you hit with all 6 and don't crit). The dual pistols would be similar, but have a larger clip and a smaller range (roughly about the range of the sniper's machine gun, and a similar rate of fire, but more accurate and less damage, and also semi-automatic instead of automatic.)

Movement speed: Between Soldier and Sniper

(I don't really want a Pirate, I'm just making this in response to the ninja. =P)

I think the new character should be a female, with killer legs, literally.

It should clearly be a monkey.
