GT TV Goes to Valve - Counter-Strike 2 Rumors Abound

A promotional video for an upcoming episode of Gametrailers TV seems to indicate they have some exclusive information about a possible Counter-Strike 2 in the works. Though, far be it from me to call this as a good marketing draw for GT TV to entice people to watch, when the last official word on CS2 was that there was no CS2 planned.



In addition, they'll have new footage of Left 4 Dead, a look at a new map for Team Fortress 2 (presumably it will be Goldrush), and an interview with Gabe Newell.



The next episode of GT TV will air Friday night at 1AM on Spike. 1AM? Seriously?[break="promo video in question"]

really if all they do for CS2 is translate CS into better graphics I would be happy, but I would love for them to change things up. I mean we can always play CS, CS2 should continue on the ideas of CS not just copy them.

I highly doubt CS2 will be made into a complete copy of 1.6 but with pretty graphics, if anything, it'll look like 1.6 but with more guns perhaps? They should've made CS:S feel more like 1.6.



Don't forget that people who don't have Spike TV can watch the rerun of the episode on their site the next day, it's either the next day or an hour after the original show.

theres already a cs on the source engine. its called CS:Source. Its CounterStrike on the source engine. If they do make a CS2 or whatever they plan on calling it, i hope they make it more immersive with destructible environments, and better registration and netcode. And better balance. wtf is up with the m3? its slow as well as weak. Its not like that in 1.6 in 1.6 its slow as well as powerful to make up for it being so slow.



also better sounds, more models, and lots of weapons or different weapons for different kinds of maps. and bring back vehicles. when i heard how much time they spent on the vehicle code for HL2 i thought for sure there would be vehicles in css maybe planes and boats and other **** like that. instead the same lame ass floating boxes as in 1.6.
