Goldeneye Rumor Smashed by Microsoft

Despite a number of hopeful rumors that have popped up stating that Goldeneye would be heading to the Xbox Live Arcade, Microsoft was quick to crush some dreams. The N64 classic was recently rumored to be heading to the XBLA, going so far as to having its own four-page spread in Xbox World 360.

Rare had previously developed a port of the game for XBLA, but production stalled when Microsoft was unable to acquire the rights to the property from GoldenEye publisher Nintendo.

Just make a new game that feels and plays like goldeneye did. problem solved and it looks like rare "did it again" win win.

goldeneye was the only console shooter I ever played well, since then all my shooters are on the PC give me my mouse and keyboard and it's all about proximity mines in the Caves !

Goldeneye was great, but I actually preferred perfect dark for pretty much every reason except storyline. Storyline, goldeneye was a lot better.
