In an interview with Valve's Doug Lombardi, Tom's Games managed to get a hint of what's to come for the Steam content delivery system.
We're looking at more casual games and international games. And we're also looking at other types of content like video and music. We're definitely having those conversations and meetings, and we're reaching out to folks with other types of digital entertainment. I think before the end of the year, you'll probably see some pilot programs with other digital entertainment on Steam. This would be a rather significant step here if any of it comes true. The rest of the interview discusses Steamworks, the software sales numbers of the console Orange Box releases, and what's in store from Valve this year.
