That's because the way of the 1337 is weak with the younger generation...

No, it's mostly because consoles have become steadily more and more powerful and capable of running bigger and more complex programs (read: games, online services, etc) while remaining at roughly the same price point (PS3 aside, but who buys a PS3 lolol), while to run the same game on a PC at the same quality often requires you to spend well over twice as much. You can spend £250 on an Xbox360 (everyone has a TV anyway so that cost is irrelevant) and play games like CoD4, Burnout Paradise and so on, with a solid online service - but a £250 PC wouldn't even... hell, would probably struggle just to run MSN and Word at the same time.



Most Average Joe Normals can't afford to get a gaming-quality PC and a console. The console is far cheaper and more accessible - for most people, the choice is an obvious one.

My tax refund was $1k or so. I upgraded my computer, getting a dual core AMD, a nVidia 8800 or something, as well as the other parts (case, hard drive, dvd rom, etc.)



Then, on my next paycheck, today I went out and bought a Wii.



I actually connected my Wii up to my computer (using a TV tuner), and I'll be swapping back and forth between console games and PC games.



I'm no bigot, I'll play anything that's fun. Super Smash Bros Brawl looks really, really, fun. I bought a Wii just to play that game and it's not even out yet (March 9th.)

Yeah, sure, I can change all that in user preferences, but that does nothing for the RSS feed. We need a way to customize that, cause that's the only way a lot of people read news.
