School Shooting Blamed on CS; Jack Thompson Still an Idiot

Apparently, the New York Post decided to further damage its journalistic integrity by stating that Counter-Strike was to blame for the shootings at Northern Illinois University.
In real life, Kazmierczak - who had become "erratic" recently after shunning medication for an undisclosed illness - purchased weapons like those used in Counter-Strike, including a Glock handgun and a pump-action Remington shotgun, which he bought legally on Feb. 9.
Quick to jump on the bandwagon (YouTube) was world renowned psycho, Jack Thompson. A few of his comments and Kotaku's response to them are to follow.
"You can rehearse these type of massacres on simulators which are called video games and you can...therefor made more proficient in doing this." He explains that "Counter-Strike Half-Life" was that Cho, the perpetrator of the Virginia Tech Massacre trained on in High School, suggesting that the behavior of the NIU shooter had the same sort of training. He also cites the shooter's attire...all black...was also similar to what the hero in Counter-Strike wears. He certainly couldn't have gotten the idea to wear all black from anywhere else, could he? What kind of bad guy wears all black, other than a good 50% of them throughout the history of fiction?
There was further dissection of Jack's rants made by the Kotaku team that you should take a look at.

What the Post article fails to mention is that most everyone in the shooter's floor played games, many of them playing Counter-Strike together, but you don't see anyone else there committing such heinous acts. It's also interesting to note that the Post article even mentions that the shooter voluntarily went off his medication, but God forbid that fact be glossed over for the more attention grabbing point.

As for Thompson, he's a parasite, no better than those lawyers who trail ambulances to the hospital. He's done nothing but feed off of the media's poor, misinformed attempts at educating the public as to why someone committed a crime or did something as horrible as what happened in Illinois this past week. You cannot be trained to kill by using a mouse and keyboard. Jack, on behalf of the world of sane people, just shut the hell up already. I doubt your foot tastes that good.

As for the shootings, it is an unfortunate tragedy. We at CS-Nation offer our deepest sympathies and best wishes to the family and friends of those affected by the recent events.

Jack Thompson - Representative of the finest of idiocy America has to offer.

(No offense to Americans in general, as any culture may have a representative of its best idiocy)

It's easy for these morons to blame video games, because think about it, people would rather protest against defenseless nerds who made the video games, rather than the gun store owners who have AK-47's mounted on their walls.

These poor, distorted individuals have been mentally unstable since the day they were born, instead of speaking out about the feelings they had inside, they decide to take extreme actions without thinking about the consequences, which resulted in unecessary fatalities.

Jack Thompson is just another dip shit who's trying to milk these types of situations for every penny it can provide, and with the help of the media, he's getting away with it. He fucking titled himself as a "Campus Shooting Expert." He went from a douche bag lawyer.. to a "Campus Shooting Expert.."

Maybe he should get shot, and then he could call himself a shooting expert.

Yes, because we all know, symptoms cause everything. That's what Jack Thompson would have us believe.

            Blame the symptoms!!!
