Two New Maps for TF2 'Within Two Months'

Shacknews has heard from Valve's Robin Walker that two new maps are slated to be released for Team Fortress 2 in a few months time. One map, a map that I've held to be my favorite since I started to play TFC, will be Badlands. Another bit of info is that the new medic achievements are the first of many new achievements slated for each class.



As of this writing, the maps are confirmed as coming to the PC version of TF2. However, there is no set plans to bring the maps to either the 360 or PS3 versions of the game. This is, no doubt, due to how Microsoft must charge an initial fee for all of the content distributed on their Live system.

yess badlands is also my favorite map from tfc, I knew they were going to release it soon, because of me seeing this private empty server with 3 ppl with the map badlands beta

you mean charging Valve if they want to put content up right? because iirc, Microsoft doesn't charge for dlc that's free on other platforms anymore.

I just remember peter moore mentioning it, who knows if that rule is still in place since he moved to work at ea.

They are still working on it, they are moving DoD:S to the newest version of the Source engine which would be the Orange Box. Its gonna have a CoF fix and other stuff added. I've also heard they are going to make one new map, maybe two.
