360's Orange Gets an Update

The Xbox 360 version of the Orange Box has received a major update. The list of changes are as follows.

• Reduced network bandwidth usage in multiplayer.
  
  
• Improved overall game performance.
  
  
• Arranged search results to favor preferred host conditions.
  
  
• Improved searching for ranked games.
  
  
• Addressed a possible false report of too little storage space on larger hard drives.

You'll be prompted to download and install the update the next time you start up The Orange Box while connected to the Internet.

I guess this fixes the lag issue everyone's been talkin about on 360's TF2.

So, are we to believe that the patches for the PC version have also been incorporated into this or will be?



Things I havent noticed in the 360 version after the patch



- No FOV option

- Mipmap hasnt been upped like the PC version

- Player selection screen hasn't been touched



The last one leads me to believe the PC and 360 version have different patches. Also does anyone know if the exploits in the PC version work in the 360 version?

the 360 needs different patches because it plays differently, you can't make pc changes to a console game but it would change how the game plays on the console

They're still coming. I decided to maybe scrap the whole "review" aspect of the Orange Box and do a pros/cons, and wishlist for changes I'd have like to have seen or a wishlist of items for Episode 3. I figure, that another review talking up a game package you already know is amazing just wouldn't make much sense.



And the Left 4 Dead preview is coming as well. Should probably wait til I'm back at home in my own state before worrying about that though.
