The latest Steam news update holds a bit more substance when compared to last week's offering.

During the Orange Box frenzy of the past couple weeks, it would have been easy to miss this great release: Minerva has a new installment, and it's the best one yet. Every owner of Half-Life 2 should download and play this single-player mod immediately. By the way, it's free.

I had completely missed the Minerva release this week! Such a shame, the first few parts of that mod were fantastic!

I hope the Minerva mod isn't as poorly designed as their website is. and according to the wiki you need episode 1, not just plain hl2

I'm not a fan of 2K Sports. Though EA Sports makes the same sports games every year with just updated rosters, at least they have a PC department, unlike 2K Sports. Yeah computer games exist and I think they actually look a lot better than console games.

Valve disabling keys bought from Asian online stores is big news. Gabe must of got real angry that people were spending buckloads less and buying cheap.



They shouldn't just be able to go 'oh....ummmm wait wait..DISABLED!'

So... Is it too early to be asking for some Episode 3 goodness to be included with the Valve news updates?

Don't like many of 2k Games' titles, but Prey wasn't half bad.



Minerva is one of the better SP HL2 mods out there imho, played the first installment, can't remember whether I played the second... it's been a while. At the free price tag level, I'm not nearly so picky though, so give it a try and you be the judge.



While several of VALVe's T-shirts are appealing to me... these new TF2 ones really aren't, for reasons I can't explain. Aesthetics, I suppose. I'll keep on rocking the classic HL2 logo shirt though... even though the perma press is starting to wear badly after the past several years. Really was kind of disappointing when that shirt became available to the general public... *sigh* can't feel special forever.

After the HL2 deathmatch shirt, I don't know if they can make a better one. Gotta love the toilet to the head. Although I do like the spy shirt, they need to have the pyro playing air guitar with the axe on the shirt, and the heavy needs to have that big grin whilst spraying bullets.
