I'm at the end of portal, I think, right after the rocket launcher robot breaks the glass, and theres an air duct that just leads to a fan and I can't get any further. What am I missing?

Well, I was stuck there for a bit during my testing. You simply need to shoot a portal on the floor under the fan, and another entrance portal elsewhere... walk through.

nevermind, you were right, I must have been to sleepy this morning to see it, you just have to angle yourself just right to see that wall there to portalize, I was trying to shoot at the ground

Hehe, with that fan I tried to shove a chair in it. Just as I got through, the chair fell through too :/



Well, I did it in one sitting. I guess you could say it's hard to overstate my satisfaction that I did it :)



Good fun, nice to see something new!



Can't wait for custom maps and hectic midair portal shooting fun!

I beat it, but I have some issues



I notice when I drop the console I have a ton of errors popping up.



Some of the lines that I can see say

Failed to load sound "vo\aperture_ai\escape_02_spheredes
troy4-05.wav", file probably missing from disk/repository



CRopeManager::AddToRenderCache count to large for cache!

I whole bunch of those first ones with different names and about 5-6 of those second ones



And through the whole game I never had that female announcers voice, which I figured would be all over the game



I think I need to delete and redownload

I'm gonna have to agree... the first time I've laughed out loud at credits, definitely a good ending to a game that I thought was going to end far too soon.



I had the game crash on me with the repeating audio/limited response scenario about 3x over the duration of my playtime through the main portion. These seemed to be physics-glitch type things, but all required ctrl-alt-del to fix, and once I had to reboot to keep the engine from running like a slide show after it had crashed. Odd stuff.



Still, a fantastic game and definitely worth playing if you haven't yet!

I had that a lot with HL2 : EP1. Annoying, isn't it? Portal was great anyway, it had me laughing and amazed all the way through, EP2 up next!

I just beat Portal, and I have to say: Although short, it was worth it. [I love the remarks the computer makes.]



And I'm about 50% done Episode 2, so far, I've said: "Oh my god" four times, which is a new record for me.



All the cool kids bought it, you should too.

Several spoiler tags on this comment page alone leads one to believe they aren't 'really' spoilers, and then this one comes along. -.- Why do people post spoilers like this, even behind tags? What's the point? Nobody here asked for spoilers.



It seems like you can buy Episode 2 without the other games, however since my interest has been piqued towards Portal, buying those two without getting the orange box would be a bad bargain.



So, depending on how much money I can spare from this paycheck, I'll get the orange box after all, but if I can't spare that much, I'll just get EP2 and go without Portal.

the song at the end of portal is great and did anyone notice that the song playing on those little radios is the same song but played in a some kind of weird latin style
