Episode 2 Pre-loading NOW

Episode 2 is now ready for pre-loading! To start the pre-loading process, right click on those titles in your games listing, click on "View pre-load info...", and then click the "Start pre-loading now" button for both games. That, or you can follow the links in the Steam news pop-up.

The Orange Box will be available via Steam and at retail outlets beginning next Wednesday, October 10th. In preparation for launch, Valve has begun pre-loading both Portal and Half-Life 2: Episode Two to those who have pre-purchased The Orange Box. The pre-purchase campaign, available via Steam and at participating retailers, grants gamers access to the Team Fortress 2 beta and extends a 10% discount off the regular price of $49.95.

I didn't realize October 10th was so close. -.- Hopefully next paycheck (the 11th) I'll be able to afford to buy it. Although if there's no option to buy just EP2, then I probably won't be able to until the paycheck after that (the 25th). -.-

I wish i could afford the orange box. The movie theatre i work at runs an ad and it makes me weep lol. Yea I hope they release soon the pricing to buy the things individually.

You already sort of do have a pre-load. It's on a DVD, right?

some reason when i punch in the dvd it doesn't install it. it adds the game to my steam acct (after punching in the cd key) and starts to do a complete download from there. kinda weird if you ask me.
