    Team Fortress 2 Update Released

An update was rolled out for Team Fortress 2 tonight. Sadly, it's not a surprise mega-content update, those are still on track for 2009. However, this update does include a number of fixes, and everybody always loves those!
    • Added rate limit for several client commands to prevent server spamming

    • Added consistency checking for particle systems

    • Updated r_particle_timescale ConVar so it can only be changed if the server has sv_cheats set to 1

    • Updated loading/disconnect dialogs so they're easier to read

    • Updated Dustbowl, Granary, and Badwater Basin with several exploit fixes

    • Updated Granary to remove the setup time and gates
Team Fortress 2 should automatically update.

Zips - you're back! :) When can we expect an article on your trip at Valve?

Great update btw - Looks like they are really putting an effort to get everything ready for the releas.

This is like the opposite of CS:S. There, it's like you can't get anywhere but in the head when you crouch. So annoying. -.-

Does it seem to anyone else that between 1.5 to 1.6, headshots got a lot easier to pull off? And then when you make the leap from 1.6 to CS:S, it's like as long you try to aim for the head, or you know, in their general direction, you still get a headshot. And even worse when your target is crouching.

What causes this, from netcode, to bigger heads, or what, I don't know, and I don't care to guess what the causes are, all I know is the result that I kinda miss the rarity of headshots. Used to be, in 1.5, if you headshot someone, it was an undeniable display of skill. Nowadays, it kinda takes more skill to kill someone without a headshot, since if you try to do so, they'll just headshot you first. *eyeroll*

What can I say, I like to rant.

i wish they would add another class to this game, like a spaceman who would have a jet pack, or maybe a velociraptor, yea that would be cool.

a full grown velociraptor is the only thing that can take down a skilled scout, i just think the game needs more balance!

a full grown velociraptor is the size of a large turkey, and would be about as scary as one too, the only advantage it had was if there were 2+ and its claw was unsheithed

unless you want the madeup velociraptor from Jurassic Park
