Team Fortress 2 Linux Server Available

The Linux Dedicated Server for Team Fortress 2 is now ready. In addition, a few updates have been made to both dedicated servers and as such, you'll need to run hldsupdate tool with "-command update -game tf".

The changes included are right below this line.
    • Linux Dedicated Server beta release

    • Fixed not being able to issue rcon commands with empty strings like:

      rcon sv_password

    • Exploit fix related to "join_team"
We'll hopefully have some additional news concerning this very shortly.

well, I still can't play this damn game. It still crashes all the time at different points everytime. I submitted a bug report to valve, so maybe when they release the next update I can play. Maybe it's a directx10 issue? Anybody else with vista+radeon HD 2900 xt having crash issues? The background level loads fine, so I don't believe that it is a video driver issue, and I was able to get in game once when I started a server but got the scoreboard crash. Anytime i join a net game, it crashes when I get the intro menu's.

You really need to submit a TICKET on steam. I really don't know if that bug report work i.e. send any info. In CSS you can send it off line and it shows that it sent it but your not even connect to the internet. There was also no new file added to send later. Might be wrong about this but, I would make a ticket on it anyways.

Yeah, I tried using the bug report thing in CSS to send a bug report about the bug report thing not working, but I don't think they got it. -.-
