Team Fortress 2 Windows DS Available

The final files for the Windows dedicated server are now available. Make sure to run the hldsupdatetool for Team Fortress 2 in order to get the final pieces of the puzzle.



To those unsure, you'll need to run hldsupdatetool with "-command update -game tf".



Linux binaries will be a little late in coming, but they are still on the way. Hopefully we'll see those released at some point tomorrow.[break="the official word on the linux dedicated server status"]

Hello All-



I have to share some bad news - we will not have a Linux dedicated

server available for download tonight. We've been crunching really hard

but there are still issues that prevent us from shipping it tonight. We

will continue to work on until it is available, but for now the only

dedicated servers available will be running Windows.



I'll post updates to the lists as soon as I have more info. Thank you

very much for your patience. And again, we are sorry for missing this

deadline.

Will I need to restart steam when TF2 is available to play, or is that a thing of the past? And does that last statement mean only no linux DS, or no TF2?

Yep got to wait on the Linux server stuff to come for mine ~_~... And ofcourse Valve got to keep their record or missing the date for something , but in all good time, its still a beta, so its not the end of the world :).
