Team Fortress 2 BETA - No Midnight Release

To anybody thinking they'll stay up late tonight to get the jump on the Team Fortress 2 BETA, you don't have to worry about that. A forum posting on Half-Life2.net sheds a little light on when we might see TF2 tomorrow.

DigiQ8: So we in the HL2net steam channel are wondering, when you guys gonna unlock TF2? What time exactly?

Greg: Late in the day. We're not saying an exact time, unfortunately.



DigiQ8: So no 12AM release?

Greg: No - late in the day.

No firm time is set yet, and probably for good reason.

It's annoying, but then again they really had no obligation to tell us this beforehand.



It would've been very nice though. A very simple, easy, and considerate thing to do.

It's better they don't have a set release time yet, just in case something comes up and it's delayed an hour or a few minutes. People would be rioting in the streets yet again and crying bloody murder.

Yeh but thats half the fun with valve releases. I remember when poor gooseman and the simple cs.net website was pumping out releases and the anger then when hl updates weren't coming out on time.
