PHL's Sneak Peek at Fortress Forever

Planet Half-Life had a little hands-on time with Fortress Forever recently, and have put together a little preview.
By now you can gather that this isn't a generic port with no imagination put behind it, it’s quite its own game. That's not to say that you won’t know where you are, as several of the most popular TFC maps have been included with Fortress Forever, and have been beautifully recreated with all of the major areas done well and additional nick and knacks added in. I can assure you now that there’ll be as any 24/7 Dustbowl servers in Fortress Forever as there are in Team Fortress Classic, as the game play is still as fun and exciting as always with all of the great additions of the Source engine and the changes and additions of FF itself.

You can see more of the preview-review hybrid over at PHL.

Making a game like this from scratch is simple, TF2 took a mere 9 years with a dedicated pro development team and gobs of resources; I will now announce how I will not try this mod because it took too long, just to remind everyone that people as stupid as myself exist still. Cheers

I will now make a mod like this myself because it is so simple, and it will not take as long as FF took. Then I will expect many many people to play it in spite of a better version of my mod coming out immediately after mine, done by people who made the original game my mod is based off of.
