Bioshock Demo on Steam

Yeah bout half an hour after I posted I got the Steam News pop-up. Loading now.

hmmm, I have an ATI Radeon 2900XT, core2 duo e6600 @ 2.6 Ghz, 2 gigs of DDR2 800, Windows Vista w/ DX10 and the game runs without a hitch with all settings on high @ 1920x1200 accept for one problem....ALL OF THE TEXTURES ON THE FLOOR AND CHARACTER MODELS ARE BLACK LIKE THEY HAVE PERMANENT SHADOWS....what happened to the drivers that ati and nvidia were supposed to release yesterday? neither one of them have released shit. Guess I'll try directx 9.....bought a 500 dollar video card and vista for nothing..

So similar to System Shock 2 it hurts... loading it on Steam was painless though.

OK. just found the fix. Anyone with an ati 2900xt go here for the bioshock fix. Actually, i think it applies to all ati cards.
