Counter-Strike goes Online

Don't worry, this is still 2007. You haven't magically gone back in time to the early release days of Counter-Strike. Instead, Counter-Strike Online is an entirely new venture for the Asian market. The development of CS Online falls mainly in the hands of NEXON, creators of such titles as the hit, MapleStory.

I've no idea what exactly it means by "tailoring the gameplay for the millions of gamers in Asia." Will there be gold farming?

Gold farming? No, it just means they'll make the game a shitload easier and somehow make fragging a secondary aspect.



See, asian gamers (as in, gamers in korea, japan, china, etc. I don't just mean asian people in general) like their games easy as piss, and with as little killing as possible except of course when it's some 'emotional' plot device.



I'd expect an built-in auto-aim that's always on, all weapons being more balanced out so the Para is a super weapon everyone takes and everything else isn't worth shit, prices being messed with drastically so there are never any money issues past the first round, and probably some laser gun or something added in too.
