Control the Source engine with your mind

It seems as though some new technology used to read brain activity has been applied to the Source engine. The video applies the new technology to the Source engine allowing the user to move objects with their mind and not through the use of a keyboard or mouse.
In this video, scientists have developed a great technology that lets you “control objects, via electric interface, based on your levels of concentration and emotion. It is interfaced with the brain, analyzing pre-recorded responses and translating them to the electronic interface, essentially making a person a telepath that can control objects with thoughts.
No word yet on whether or not we'll see this in Episode 3.

I seem to remember seeing this somewhere before, hehe :P A cool technology. Very FEAR/STALKER (X-18)-like.

      April Fools?

Fatasses everywhere will no longer have to endure the hardship of moving a mouse around and typing on a keyboard.

Cool, but it'll be a while before we could score a one shot HS with that device!

"No word yet on whether or not we'll see this in Episode 3." = my nomination for ROFL of the day

          Ugh.

(Intentionally taken out of context to express my own thought.)

I was a little dissapointed, this I dont like how they have the system set up as is. I don't want to think "more concentration, more concentration" to lift something, I just want to think "hey that thing, LIFT!" and have it work. But I'm sure that will not be too far being if this catches. It IS truly amazing what we have now and are continualy seen made.

This invention is both great and horrific, great because people who suffer from "locked in" syndrome can communicate with ease using this tool, and horrific because this will just increase the lazyness and obesity North America is already suffering from.

$15 for that gadget? I'm definitely sold.

Yay for spraying with one eye open.

Not to mention the random shots as people blink.

Looks far to difficult as of now to use it in a game requiring quick thinking.

                    Maybe Portal or something.

Give it 10 years and this will be a mature easily usable technology, looks to premature to release.

It's interesting, especially for strategy based games. I don't think it could beat eye-hand coordination, leaving the mouse as the superior interface.

Of course all the pros would say it's game breaking, but so is their micro.
