Looks pretty nice, hopefully it works better in action than it sounds on paper!

Speaking of "the fun patch" there's one fun-killing aspect of this game that's never going to change: Being forced (or god forbid, choosing to play as an Insurgent shooting, wounding and killing U.S. Marines.

Yes, it's "only a game" but, just as in Return to Wolfenstein, and every other WWII shooter, I find it repugnant playing as an enemy soldier killing American G.I.s. I'll bet this mod will be getting some serious propaganda, recruitment and training use over in Jihadistan.

It's one more -- if not the most important -- reason for offline AI.

On the other hand, it does inspire great incentive to kill those who play as enemy combatants, if only virtually.

I don't have any feelings for virtual characters, only human images and voices stir emotion in me.

Maybe I'm what my folks call me. Desensitized. I disagree, but what do I know.

no one is desensitized, thats crap. You might not be shocked by violence in the media/entertainment anymore but playing a video game doesn't in any way change how you would react to violence in real life. Sitting behind a screen moving a mouse also doesn't teach you how to operate a weapon. You might learn how to use the sights and reload, but that doesn't take any skill at all. I would love for all enemy combatants to train with first person shooters, thats more of an advantage for our troops.

A++ on the fast update, thats nice too see out of a source game If only valve wasn't in charge of CSS

Umm I hope you do realise the military are training with computer games? Often the games are used to build tactics into a scenario and as such the maps are customised to whatever specific location the military are looking to attack.

I heard they were beta testing TF2 also. The whole grenade removing thing was to see if soldiers really needed them since the army needs to save a few bucks.

It's a moot point for me now since installing the patch I keep getting a "This game is not currently available. Please try again later." message followed by Symantec Antivirus autoprotecting against two unidentified Trojan .tmp files. Same With CS:S. All spyware and virus scans find nothing but launching INS or CS:S from within Steam now always produces the above.

BTW - SiN Episodes still works, as does BloodRayne, HL2 and the newly downloaded Threadspace: Hyperbol demo.

                              RE #13

I would like to stat that I too am getting a Trojan Virus warning now whenever I launch INS or any Steam game like CSS since installing the 1.1 patch. Although I have cleared my temp files and my anti-virus says there is no virus actually there when I run a scan, so my question would be why I get that :S

The game is great though, I just hate that I know get this trojan virus warning every time I launch the game.
