    Steam News - June 29, 2007

Because of some unforeseen circumstances (my computer dieing completely being a major one), the news update from last Friday is a little delayed. Also, since there hasn't been anything really been anything newsworthy done today, this is making a super late appearance.
We have been continuing to invite members of the gaming press out to the Valve office to play the Orange Box games, and this week teamxbox.com has written up a nice series of stories on Portal, Team Fortress 2, and HL2: Episode Two

Vigil: Blood Bitterness was just released on Steam. Striking game with some very creepy stuff going on. Black and white world, yellow blood, dark voices... For the next week, save 20% off the regular price of $9.95.

Darwinia and Uplink are now available as a single package on Steam, and right now they're available for a fantastic price: $9.95.
Yep, aside from maybe the Darwinia/Uplink combo, there should have been nothing here you didn't already know.

Let's see, what else has been going on? Oh, you guys already know that Insurgency was released yesterday. I'm sorry, but I was not impressed. Also, is anyone else experiencing random disconnects from servers?

Speaking of servers, the mega-machinima War of the Servers was released about a week ago. Really, this is GMod at its finest. Well, maybe not at its finest, but close. The movie is about 700MB in size (broken up over two downloads) and is about as long as a full length feature.

Anybody tried Vigil yet? It looks kind of good, and I was thinking of grabbing it, but I want some honest personal opinions first.

I'd love to see a Concerned movie. That'd be great.

I could be a voice actor!
