Steam Client Updated - New Offline Mode Feature

A new update was released tonight for the Steam client. Out of the four highlighted points in this update, only one sounds like it'd be of any real importance to the majority of Steam users.
    • Added a "Go Offline" option in the File menu, which will let Steam run without an Internet connection

    • Fixed localization of "English" in language dropdown for Dutch and Norwegian languages

    • Fixed the ATI Hardware Promotion not being accepted on 64bit versions of Windows

    • Fixed the mouse wheel not scrolling when the cursor is over a flash image
That's right, there's a brand new way to play in Offline mode. Rejoice those without a constant Internet connection, rejoice.

Wow, offline mode. People have only been clamoring for that for years, wonder which poor soul finally took that issue out of the inbox and put it in his queue? Kudos, though.

There was an offline mode for years... People just casually ignored it or didn't know how to get it working.

This method is a different way to play offline.

As far as I know, the offline mode didn't work for many.

The offline mode was bugged. Sometimes it wouldn't work. I'm guessing that wasn't fixed...
