Fortress Forever Media Blitz

Okay, maybe this isn't technically a media "blitz" but the crew over at Fortress Forever have released a good deal of new media including a new video! The video can either be downloaded at any of the numerous mirrors or you can view it immediately via embedded Youtube after the break.



But first, here are a few of the new shots from Shutdown2 that the team is mighty proud of. This is all thanks to the mapper Defrag creating a unique theme for the map.

I see a lot of people defying gravity. I don't get the point of this mod. Are you supposed to fly around aimlessly?



The maps look beautiful though, and I like that little 'vortex' effect near the start.

No, no I haven't. Pretty much the main reason why I'm not at all hyped for TF2, either. =P



If by TFC you mean Team Fortress Classic, I actually have that in my 'account' (because I have CS 1.6), but I've never installed or played it.

TFC was my first true online FPS, and it will always hold a special place in my heart as a result. When it comes right down to it, the gameplay is actually pretty fun. In most circumstances it is considerably more difficult to kill someone than it is in CS, so it doesn't have quite the instant gratification that we've all become accustomed to.



Class-based multiplayer CTF games can be some really good times though, and TFC is definitely worth a try if you missed that part of gaming lore. Looking forward to seeing FF completed.
