Student Arrested for Making a CS Map

Oh no... I've been working on a Half-Life 1 map of one of my classrooms in my high school for a while... If I finish it and show it to my teacher, will I be arrested for being a threat to society? (Mind you, I already told my teacher about my idea and did pre-production right in front of him, and he was interested in seeing the finished product). Damn now I'm scared to finish it. I do value human life you know?

Well, it's almost your fault if your doing this now because of all the stuff that has happened. So to avoid this..make alterations to the map...dont make the school to a T, or just avoid school maps period.



BTW - My first map was my house then my school as well. *chuckle*

I'm seriously afraid that our rights as citizens are slowly being taken away, amid all these fears of "terrorism." I understand to sometimes be worried about real threats, but this?



This is nothing more than to send a message to other people. Nothing more.

Yeah... real legitimate. I can just see a homicidal maniac sitting in his room contemplating how he's going to pull-off a school shooting, but coming to no answers. But wait! What's this? A map of the school he just so happens to be plotting against! Wow, now it'll totally work! This situation just gets more and more realistic!



And if you're stupid enough to use a Counter-Strike map to plan an attack on a school, odds are you're probably too stupid to pull it off in the first place. Period.

At least in thise case, they can make a half-arsed attempt at justifying themselves with twisted logic. Doesn't excuse it, but in the grand scheme of things... there have been dumber cases.
