Oh wait a second why dont you make a fix on your own and send it to Valve seen as you think your so bright?
pay for a fix to a bug that crashes the game? wow you must have brain damage
i have never ran into the bug..., So unless your looking for it everytime you play?, The thing is if you never knew it was there you wouldnt even be moaning about it, you'd be moaning about something else and something else...., i bet you didnt even find it someone probably showed it you and you jumped on the bandwagon ranting and raving
I mean whats the point in doing the samething if you know its gonna crash your game?, Well tbh i didnt even know about this bug till it was brought up on here...
Can anyone tell me if there's any other developer that update's there products and software this often i would be glad to hear it.
Good things come to tho's who wait
Btw i can wait,

@grimbal, I don't scrim but to my understanding the rules of scrimming are clear. You play a certain amount of rounds, and then the teams switch sides so that everyone who was previously a terrorist is a counter-terrorist, and vice versa. This is to prove that a team is good at both sides of the map instead of just one side because of the map's advantage for that side.
In any case, I've heard that the game crashes fairly consistently when this occurs. However, when I've been in pubs that do something similar (people vote to extend the map, and it swaps the teams), I've never seen it crash then. So I've never experienced this bug.Comment

Seems legit, but (Valve time) would imply it should have been released afternoon/evening Pacific Time yesterday.
It's from alfred, I know a few people who can confirm it. Including the developer of the Detox SourceMM Anti-Cheat plugin.
To the posters above, I don't play matches often but, when I have, without fail a random handful of players crash out at half-time. So I'd say it's pretty prevalent.Comment

the always positive valve fanbase strikes again. do you really expect them to go out of their way to fix bugs that only effect you when all you do is cuss them out? I've never had CS crash halfway for no reason. This new update is exactly what I've been wanting from Valve for a while. Color me a happy customer.Comment

Crashing at half-time is probably the most common bug in all of CS:S right now, pubs just don't really have half-times. It happens probably 1 out of 2 scrims.
I find that checking my scoreboard immediately before or after I switch will cause me to crash pretty much every time, so I either just don't do that, or I'm extra careful, and I retry to the server and join from there.
It's a bad problem. Not for you pubbers, but for the competitive community, it's huge.Comment

wow. what an incoherent post babbling about something you know nothing about. i face this bug every single time i play counter-strike. but, i've learned to avoid it. (by typing retry in console during half-time) however that doesn't really matter that much, because most people in the scrim don't bother to do that, so they end up crashing and i have to wait for them to get back anyway.

you're asking me to make my own fix for a bug that crashes a game i bought? well, do you really think valve would accept it? is this the norm? users have to fix a company's game for them? you really need a clue
yes, i will likely "moan" whenever there is a bug in a game i play that causes it to crash. christ, what a whiner i am!Comment
