A mod that has seen releases across multiple games over the years, has now found its way onto the Source engine. I'm talking about none other than Jailbreak Source. Commonly referred to as Jailbreak!, the latest version has all of the Source bells and whistles and has new maps, new gameplay mechanics, and other goodies.
If you've ever played or heard of a game called "Release" in your younger days, that's what Jailbreak! is all about. Two teams square off against each other, with kills resulting in the person becoming captured and thrown in a jail in the opposing team's base. Their only options of escape are either through secret passages or waiting for a free teammate to activate the release mechanism. I used be a part of the team involved with the Jailbreak! mod for the Half-Life 1 engine, and the mod is an absolute blast no matter which engine or game you play it on. I haven't had a chance to try this version out yet, but I wish the team good luck in this venture!
