Steam News Update - March 30, 2007

There really wasn't a whole lot of new news this week from the Steam news update. What was there, was already known to you, the lovely and loyal readers of CS-Nation.

We've brought a lot of new games to Steam this week. Seems like there's something for everyone. If you didn’t get a chance to play Deus Ex when it was first released, you missed something great. Don’t let its age discourage you--it’s a classic. Similarly, Thief: Deadly Shadows is not to be overlooked; this is the one we're re-playing at the office right now. Sneak up and render an innocent housekeeper unconscious with a whack of your blackjack. It's good to be a Thief!



See the rest of the new Eidos offerings, including Tomb Raider: Legend, Project Snowblind, and Rogue Trooper. Gives you something to do this weekend between NCAA basketball games. Or ICC Cricket World Cup games. We're betting against Australia, by the way.

In other news: Sorry ladies, I'm off the market. I'm now "officially" engaged to my girlfriend of over two and a half years. And no, this isn't some late April Fool's joke. Speaking of which, I hunted for the Wrestlin'-Nation index for a while, but I came up empty. Sorry readers, I tried (to bring you a really old joke resurrected from the past for the third time). Maybe next year!

Rizzuh: Strange you should mention that. It's actually been my lifelong dream (one of them) to move to the Washington/Seattle area. I'm not exactly sure why it is, but anyway. Hopefully one day...!

On a side-note, Deus Ex is one of the greatest games of all time, even if it is graphically quite dated. Turn up the AA and it's not quite so painful of a nostalgic experience. :)

As for the story... Nothing too extravagant. We've been together for over two years and seven months already. It's had its rough moments, and it is a bit of a long-distance relationship which made it worse at some points, but we've persevered.



We've already talked about it, and the getting down on one knee and formally proposing sealed the deal. I even got down on the knee I dislocated a couple of months ago (still hurts sometimes, and I know I'll have to let go of my dream of playing catcher for the Indians now). Now that's love!
