Steam Client and Source Engine Updates

Two updates were released yesterday for both the Source engine and the Steam client. The Source update fixed an Offline Mode crash, the Steam client update included the following.
    • Added uninstall links to the Windows "Add/Remove Programs" Control Panel for installed Steam games

    • Fixed "The Ship" Half-Life mod not showing in the games list

    • Fixed double listing of Half-Life games in the Serverbrowser filter list

    • Fixed hang when uninstalling media or tools from the game properties page

    • Fixed backup and restore wizard to correctly handle very large files in a game

    • Significantly reduced memory usage during reinstallation of a backup

    • Improved speed of multi-disk backup and restores

    • Made the "the registry is in use by another process" error much less likely to happen
The updates should be downloaded and applied the next time you restart your Client.

Signed, everyone knows valve are going to pretend the ads simply don't exist. Something along the lines of the us govt and area 51. Just 50% less gman involved.

They are? Doesn't look like it to me. Although I don't remember if this news release was modified at a later date, or in its original form.

People should only read patch notes, anymore and one borders on the obsessive side.

Let's face it, Mister Gabe Newell has done nothing good for the nation of Counter-Strike. How many 13 year olds have to commit suicide until Newell finds the errors in his way? I mean, we bought Counter-Strike under false pretenses, and now find ourselves a knee-high into this mess. It's time to stop lying to eachother.

              It's time to move on.

Well I guess I'm borderline obsessive judging by the technicality. Least I'm aware they announced the ads officially, and I can back that up using my borderline obsessive research (or something like that). Now if you'll excuse me, I'll toss my sanity out the window now. Also, I'm glad they finally fixed the double-listing in the filter list. I didn't think it was so difficult to fix such a thing (seeing how this issue was around for more than two months).
